The Boston University track & field teams competed at the Stonehill Skyhawk Invite over the weekend. The Terriers notched five first-place finishes and set three Top-10 Terrier marks.

BU had its top performances on the field, earning six top-two placements. In the women's discus, the Terriers were led by junior
Emma Kowalski with a throw of 45.79m (150' 3") to take first. Freshman
Ellie Roan (43.01m (141' 1")) placed second and senior
Katherine George (41.54m (136' 3")) took third. In fourth was freshman
Madison Sorrell who set the 8th-best mark in program history with a toss of 41.22m (135' 3"). Also competing was freshman
Uchenna Uba (36.58m (120' 0")) who placed sixth.

In the hammer throw, Kowalski also took first with a throw of 53.23m (174' 8"). Roan placed second with a toss of 49.80m (163' 5") to set a personal best and keep the fourth-best mark in program history. Uba also placed fifth with a throw of 45.04m (147' 9"). BU also took first and second in the shot put with Sorrell (12.42m (40' 9")) winning the event and Roan (12.41m (40' 8.75")) finishing right behind in second.

On the men's side in throws, sophomore Cole Tucker took first in the shot put with a throw of 17.56m (57' 7.5"). With the mark, he now owns the outright third-best throw in BU history. Tucker also competed in the hammer throw in which he placed second with a throw of 51.30m (168' 4").

The final first-place finish of the day for the Terriers came from freshman
Olivia Dodds who ran a 58.44 in the 400m. Freshman
Samantha Seabury led BU in the 800m with a 2:19.41, good for fourth. Freshman
Madeleine Finton also competed and ran a 2:25.95 in the event. Freshman
Alex Vellekoop crossed the line first for BU in the 1,500m with a 4:55.55 while senior
Anna Kavanagh ran a 5:04.31. Notably, freshman
Maura Woodland-Medenilla took third in the 400m hurdles with a 1:09.51.

The men's distance squad competed in the 800m and 1,500m. Leading the Terriers in the 800m was freshman Caiden Lee with a time of 1:57.67. Also competing were junior Nate Somers (1:57.75) and senior Kathan Shenoy (2:05.11). In the 1,500m, freshman Glenn Bell crossed the line first for BU with a 4:02.07. Lee finished next with a 4:02.82 and sophomore Will Loggia ran a 4:04.91.
