Track & Field Set for Patriot League Championships

BOSTON – The Boston University track & field team is set to compete at the Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Championships this weekend hosted at Lehigh. The competition will take place on Friday (May 5) and Saturday (May 6) with both days starting at 9 a.m.
The weekend's track events will be streamed on ESPN+. Field events will not be streamed on the broadcast but will be covered on the @PatriotLeagueTV account on Twitter and Instagram.
A combined 63 athletes from the men's and women's squads will compete for BU at this year's championship across 40 events. Of the 63 athletes competing, BU returns three title winners in sophomore Daisy Liljegren, senior Foster Malleckand grad student Kasim Cisse. Liljegren claimed gold in the 10,000m in 2022, Foster earned the 1,500m title and Cissetook gold in the high jump.
In the 2022 championship, BU came in third on both the men's and women's side. Army West Point took second on both sides while Navy claimed both titles. The Terriers have never finished higher than third on the men's side but last claimed the PL title on the women's side in 2014.
There will be a team score format for the meet with each individual event contributing to the team score. A full list of events, times and championship information can be found on the Patriot League website or on the Championship Central Site.
