Women’s Rowing Returns To Action Against Dartmouth On Saturday

BOSTON – The Boston University women's rowing program returns to the Charles River with a dual race against Dartmouth on Saturday (April 8). BU will send five crews out on the water, with a pair of fours starting the action.

BU competes for the second time this spring after opening the semester with a sweep of Patriot League foe MIT on March 25. The Terriers were victorious in the Varsity 8 (6:37.9 time), 2V8 (6:46.4), and Fours (7:42.8 from the "A" crew) events.

Dartmouth prepares for its first race of the spring. The Big Green were scheduled to open at the Doc Hosea Invitational on April 1, but pulled out due to forecasts of extreme weather. At the 2022 Head of the Charles, Dartmouth's Championship 4 and 8 placed 11th our of 14 boats and 26th out of 29 crews, respectively.

The Terriers and Big Green last raced one another on the Charles in 2021, with UMass and Boston College. BU finished first out of the four programs in the V8 and 2V8. In 2019, Dartmouth prevailed in a dual race against the Terriers on the Connecticut River.

Following Saturday's action, BU squares off against Northeastern in its final dual race of the year on Saturday (April 15) on the Charles River.
