Chen Ready for NCAA Athens Regional

ATHENS, Ga. - Sophomore Christy Chen of the Boston University women's golf team is set to compete in the NCAA Athens Regional beginning on Monday (May 8) at the UGA Golf Course.
Chen qualified for NCAA regional competition thanks to her individual title at the 2023 Patriot League Championship, where she broke the tournament record by seven strokes with a 4-under 212. She went on to be named Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Year and the PL Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
This is Chen's second NCAA regional appearance in as many years as the Terriers qualified as a team during her rookie season last year. She has a team-best 74.75 scoring average this season with eight top-20 finishes.
Chen will tee off at 9:50 a.m. on Monday along with Harvard's Isabella Gomez and Western Kentucky's Catie Craig. The three-round tournament will conclude on Wednesday (May 10).
