Eichel to Skate for Vegas in 2023 Stanley Cup Final

Former Boston University men's ice hockey standout Jack Eichel will skate for the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2023 Stanley Cup Final, which begins on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Eichel, the 2015 Hobey Baker Award winner, has been fantastic for the Golden Knights in his NHL postseason debut. He leads his team with 18 points in 17 playoff games, having scored six goals and added a team-high 12 assists. In the regular season, Eichel totaled 66 points (27g, 39a) in 67 regular-season games, including a nine-game point streak entering the playoffs. During the Golden Knights' run to the Cup final, Eichel has recorded four multi-point efforts, including two three-point performances. He also secured an assist in four of the six Western Conference Final contests against Dallas.
If Vegas defeats Florida, Eichel will become the 11th Terrier to hoist the Cup as a player or coach, with Kevin Shattenkirk the last to do it in 2020 with Tampa Bay. In addition to Eichel, two other Terriers will be part of this year's Stanley Cup Final. Peter Ahola is a European scout with Vegas while Paul Fenton is a senior advisor to Florida general manager Bill Zito.
