Chen Tied for Lead After Opening Round of UAlbany Invitational

DELMAR, N.Y. - Senior Christy Chen sits tied atop the leaderboard after Saturday's opening round of the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational at Normanside Country Club. The Terriers are tied for fifth in the 12-team field.
Chen, who recorded three birdies on the day, shot a 1-over 71 on Saturday and will enter Sunday's final round tied for the lead with Lehigh's Reese Hannon. BU posted a 306 (+26) and is tied with Navy for fifth, 13 strokes behind leader Lehigh.
Sophomore Madison Takai had the second-best score of the day for the Terriers with a 5-over 75 and is tied for 14th. Junior Annika Manjunath and sophomore Amy Han are tied for 42nd at 10-over (80) while senior Victoria Takai is in a tie for 47th at 11-over (81).
The Terriers will golf with opponents from Navy and UAlbany in Sunday's final round.
