Q&A With Lizzie
  • Why did you choose to attend BU? "I have to give most of the credit to my older sister, Emily, who was on the BU golf team. Visiting her gave me a glimpse of what life as a BU student-athlete could be like and made a big impression on me. Beyond her influence, I was drawn to the opportunity to study finance at a strong business school and live on an urban campus."
  • What did you enjoy most about your BU experience? "One of my favorite parts of my BU experience was being involved in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), which allowed me to connect with other student-athletes, give back to the community together, and support one another. I felt incredibly fortunate to build meaningful friendships both within my own team and across others."
  • How did your time at BU prepare you to get to where you are today? "BU played a pivotal role in helping me start my career in FinTech. Through an email from student-athlete support services, I applied for and secured a summer internship after my junior year, which led to my first corporate role as a trading technology support analyst. I'm so grateful I opened that email!"
  • Why is it meaningful for you to be involved with the University, Athletics, and Women's Swimming & Diving as an alumnus? "Staying connected to BUSD is deeply meaningful because I wouldn't be where I am today, both personally and professionally, without the support I received during my time there. Giving back allows me to honor that experience and help support the next generation of student-athletes."
