BOSTON – Playing its second-consecutive home game for the first time since Dec. 12, the Boston University women's basketball program welcomes Army West Point to Case Gym on Wednesday (Feb. 14). Opening tip is set for 6 p.m.
BU (13-9, 5-6 PL) seeks to halt its three-game losing streak. The Terriers are currently tied for sixth place in the Patriot League standings with Bucknell, though the Bison hold the tiebreaker after winning both matchups vs. the Terriers.
Army (10-11, 7-4 PL) is just one game behind Holy Cross for the top spot in the conference table, sharing second place with American. The Black Knights are 4-5 on the road this season.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU dropped a 71-60 contest to Bucknell on Saturday (Feb. 10) at Case Gym.
- The Terriers shot nearly 58 percent from the field in the first half, but were outscored 27-7 in the third quarter.
- Junior Alex Giannaros and sophomore Anastasiia Semenova made 50 percent of their shots for 16 and 13 points, respectively.
- Seniors Kelsi Mingo and Caitlin Weimar each tallied 10 points.
- Weimar was recently profiled in the Boston Globe, sitting down with Ethan Fuller for an offensive and defensive film session.
- As of Tuesday (Feb. 13), Weimar leads the nation with 7.8 personal fouls drawn per game.
- She is also one of three Division I student-athletes averaging over 18 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks per game. The others are Stanford's Cameron Brink and Elizabeth Kitley from Virginia Tech.
- Giannaros leads the program with her career .434 three-point percentage. Only two active Division I student-athletes are making threes at a higher rate: NC State's Katie Peneueta (45.5 percent) and UConn's Paige Bueckers (43.7 percent).
- BU's Patriot League-leading .364 three-point percentage is up to 24th in the nation. The Terriers have led the conference in three-point shooting in each year since Head Coach Melissa Graves took the helm for the 2021-22 campaign.
- BU has not lost back-to-back regular season Patriot League games at home since the 2018-19 season.
SCOUTING ARMY WEST POINT
- The Black Knights most recently defeated Navy in the Star Series on Feb. 10, a 70-58 victory in West Point.
- Army has won five of its last six games, and seven of its previous nine.
- During Patriot League play, the Black Knights are second across the conference with nine steals per game, as well as third in scoring defense (59.6 points allowed per game) and turnover margin (2.09).
- Trinity Hardy is the reigning Patriot League Player of the Week, and leads the team with 11.8 points per game with 42 steals.
- Kya Smith averages 10.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game on 46 percent shooting.
SERIES HISTORY
- Wednesday marks the 30th all-time meeting between BU and Army West Point in a series that began in 1980.
- The Terriers sport an 18-11 edge in the rivalry, having won eight of the last nine contests.
- BU is 10-5 all-time at home against Army, having won eight in a row. Army last won in Case Gym on Feb. 24, 2018.
- The Black Knights captured a 61-57 win in the first meeting this year on Jan. 24. Despite 18 points and 11 boards from Weimar plus 14 points from Mingo, Army made four of its final six shots in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
- Smith led all scorers with 20 points.
