Roan Tabbed PL Athlete of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Ellie Roan of the Boston University track & field team was named the Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Roan threw for 19.68m (64' 7") in the weight throw at the Brown Invitational to break the school record in the event. She threw above 19.00m on each attempt and broke the previous record of 19.19m that was set earlier this year by senior Emma Kowalski. The Sebastapol, Calif., native leads the league in the event and is 58th in NCAA Division I.
BU will host the Patriot League Championships at the Track & Tennis Center Saturday and Sunday. Competition will begin at 11 a.m. both days.
