Craig Sets New Patriot League Record with Fourth Straight Player of the Week Award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After collecting three No. 1 singles wins, Boston University men's tennis sophomore Corey Craig has earned a Patriot League record fourth consecutive Player of the Week award, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
The reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year played a key role in helping the Terriers post 7-0 sweeps against Adelphi and Assumption before adding 4-3 victory at Brown for the program's first win against the Ivy League in over 17 years.
A native of Coconut Creek, Florida, Craig won a combined 24 of 31 games played in the top singles slot against the Panthers and Greyhounds. He also teamed with classmate Jakob Esterowitz for a pair of No. 3 doubles scores by a combined score of 12-1.
In Sunday's matchup at Brown, Craig held off former five-star recruit Noah Hernandez in a three-set thriller, 7-6(7), 3-6, 6-3, as the Terriers improved to 9-4 on the year.
BU will next visit Harvard on Thursday (Feb. 29) for a 6 p.m. start time.
