BOSTON – Starting up the final homestand in the regular season, the Boston University welcomes Lehigh to Case Gym on Wednesday (Feb. 28). Opening tip is set for 6 p.m.
BU (16-10, 8-7 PL) plays two of its final three games ahead of the Patriot League Tournament at The Roof. The Terriers, currently locked in a fourth-place tie in the standings with Colgate and one-half game behind Army West Point, are 12-2 at home this year.
Lehigh (15-11, 7-8 PL) is one game behind BU at 7-8 against league foes. The Mountain Hawks are knotted up with American and Bucknell in sixth place.
Wednesday is American Sign Language Night in Terrier Town. A collaboration that began in 2017, the Boston University Women's Basketball program and BU's Wheelock College of Education & Human Development Programs' Deaf Studies have collaborated to host this event, inviting more than 250+ students from the program and community groups to celebrate the ASL community, the inclusivity of BU, as well as provide an educational environment to use ASL. An alphabet poster giveaway is available to fans in attendance.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU snapped its three-game winning streak with a 70-65 overtime loss at Loyola Maryland on Feb. 24.
- The Terriers shot just 27.5 percent from the field after halftime, including an 0-for-9 performance from the field in the extra frame.
- Senior Caitlin Weimar posted 22 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocks, all team-highs.
- Freshman Aoibhe Gormley knocked down 10 free throws for a career-high 15 points.

- Having reached 200 career blocks against the Greyhounds, Weimar is one of 18 active Division I student-athletes with 200 rejections.
- Since Jan. 17, Gormley boasts a 2.71 assist/turnover ratio. In her last seven contests, she is averaging 3.8 assists per game.
- Two of the Terriers' final opponents, Lehigh and Colgate, are one game behind them in the league table. The other opponent, Holy Cross, is in first place with a two-game cushion.
SCOUTING LEHIGH
- The Mountain Hawks recently suffered a 68-63 home loss to Lafayette on Feb. 24.
- Since Dec. 7, Lehigh has not pieced together a streak of three or more wins.
- However, the Mountain Hawks are 6-5 on the road in 2023-24.
- During Patriot League play, Lehigh's 65.5 points per game and 7.1 three-pointers per game pace the conference, but its 66.1 points allowed per contest is last.
- Ella Stemmer leads the team with 13.6 points per game this year, though Maddie Albrecht's 12.5 points per matchup against Patriot League foes is a Lehigh-best.
- Lily Fandre averages 12.5 points per game.
SERIES HISTORY
- Wednesday marks the 24th all-time meeting between BU and Lehigh in a series that began in 1989.
- The Mountain Hawks sport a 12-11 edge in the rivalry.
- BU is 6-5 at home against Lehigh.
- In the first meeting on Feb. 3 in Bethlehem, the Mountain Hawks captured a 64-62 win.
