
Chen Shines as Terriers Post Top Second-Round Score at PL Championship

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Junior Christy Chen led all golfers with a 1-under 69 at the second round of the Patriot League Women's Golf Championship to help Boston University post a top score of 293 and move into second place on Saturday at Bucknell Golf Club.
The Terriers posted a 293 and will enter Sunday's final round three shots behind leader Navy. Chen currently sits in a tie for second in the individual standings, one shot off the lead.
Chen birdied the first two holes of the day and added a third on hole 9 to make the turn at 34. She posted eight pars and a bogey on the back to finish at 69 with no other golfer in the field finishing better than 72 on the day.
BU has four golfers in the top 10 through two rounds. Sophomore Annika Manjunath is tied for fifth at 11-over after posting a 76 on Saturday, including an eagle on the par-4 fifth when she holed out from 100 yards.
Junior Meiqi Gao turned in a 3-over 73 on Saturday - six strokes better than her opening-round showing - and moved into a tie for seventh in the process at plus-12.
A birdie on the 18th by junior Victoria Takai gave her a 77 for the day and put her into a tie for ninth at plus-13.
Freshman Amy Han was tied for the lead after the opening round but had a setback on Saturday with an 84 and will enter Sunday tied for 18th. Classmate Hibiki Adachi rebounded from an opening-round 85 with a 78 on Saturday and is currently tied for 29th.
