Men's Tennis Blanks Holy Cross in Patriot League Quarterfinals, 4-0

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Making its first Patriot League tournament appearance as the top seed, the Boston University men's tennis team opened with a 4-0 quarterfinal victory over Holy Cross on Friday morning at Army West Point's Licthenberg Tennis Center.
With the sweep, the Terriers improve to 19-7, while the No. 8 seeded Crusaders see their season ended at 5-12. BU won the first two doubles matches by a combined score of 12-3 and then captured the top three singles points in straight sets.
In doubles play, senior Jonah Dickson and junior Adrian Pawlowski set the tone early with a 6-0 victory on court 3. Senior Johann Sajonz and sophomore Jakob Esterowitz followed up with a 6-3 win at line 2 for the early 1-0 advantage.
Named PL Player of the Week a conference record six times this year, sophomore Corey Craig cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Holy Cross in the top singles slot. Freshman Gustavs Dambins followed with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at line 3, and sophomore Alejandro Licea sealed the team victory in a 7-5, 6-4 decision on court 2.
BU will next face No. 4 Army West Point, a 4-2 victor over No. 5 Lehigh, in the PL semifinals Saturday at 10 a.m.
