BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Excelling on the court and in the classroom, Boston University men's tennis senior Ben Letzer has earned his second consecutive Academic All-Patriot League award, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.
A native of Okemos, Michigan, Letzer played a key role in helping the Terriers hoist their first conference trophy since 1996 and reach their first ever NCAA tournament. He finished tied for second on the team at 16 singles wins with 10 of them coming during the spring.
He appeared on courts 3-6 and posted a 5-2 at line 6 over the last four months. He collected notable No. 6 wins at Navy, UC San Diego, Redlands and UC Riverside while also earning a No. 3 victory at Assumption and No. 4 decision against Bentley.
On the academic front, Letzer owns a 3.84 cumulative GPA while majoring in business administration and management. He's a three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete (3.50+ GPA) and PL Academic Honor Roll member who joins David Bogatin ('21) and Mario Sandoval ('17) as the only Terriers to earn two Academic All-Conference awards.
