August 28, 2024 | Women's Basketball
BOSTON – A 30-game slate featuring 15 home contests comprises the Boston University women's basketball team's 2024-25 schedule, the program formally announced on Wednesday morning.
Season tickets are now available. Ticket plans include all home games for both women's and men's basketball throughout the 2024-25 campaign. Links are available at the top of the article for those who wish to renew or purchase season tickets. Single-game tickets will go on sale at a later date.
In addition to its traditional 18-game Patriot League schedule beginning in January 2025, BU will square off against 12 non-conference foes in November and December. The Terriers play programs from eight different conferences across six different conferences: the Patriot League, CAA, BIG EAST, GNAC, America East, MAAC, NEC, and Ivy League.
The season opens up with a BU basketball doubleheader at Case Gym on Nov. 4 as both teams take on local rival Northeastern.
The Terriers' road opener takes place at UConn on Nov. 7 with the arena to be determined as of writing. The Huskies went 33-6 last year en route to a trip to the Final Four.
After an exhibition contest at home against Emmanuel on Nov. 12, BU travels to New Hampshire on Nov. 16 for the first of four meetings against America East opponents.
BU begins a three-game homestand, the longest on the year, on Nov. 21 against Maine. The Terriers also host Georgetown and Rider on Nov. 27 and Dec. 1, respectively. The latter is a doubleheader with men's basketball, who takes on Sacred Heart.
For its longest non-conference road trip on the docket, BU heads to Le Moyne on Dec. 5 before returning to Case Gym on Dec. 10 for a matchup with UAlbany.
Closing out the non-conference schedule, BU plays three games on the road, starting out at UMass Lowell on Dec. 12. After nine day off during finals break, the Terriers head across the Mass. Pike to visit Harvard on Dec. 21. The 2024 calendar year ends with a trip to Yale on Dec. 29.
Patriot League play begins on Jan. 2 when BU welcomes Lafayette to The Roof. The final home doubleheader on the year is a Turnpike Trophy tilt with Holy Cross on Jan. 27. The schools will square off in Worcester on Feb. 8. The regular season concludes for BU on Mar. 5 at Navy.
In 2023-24, the Terriers compiled a 20-12 record, marking the first time BU recorded at least 20 wins in back-to-back seasons since 2011-13. Tying for second in the Patriot League with 10 conference victories, the Terriers advanced to the Patriot League championship game for the second-straight year, and third in four seasons.
Head Coach Melissa Graves is set for her fourth season at the helm. BU returns nine student-athletes from a season ago, including First Team All-Patriot League selection Alex Giannaros.
