Terriers Place Sixth at Princeton Invitational; Chen Finishes Third

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Boston University women's golf team secured a top-half finish at the Princeton Invitational with senior Christy Chen leading the way by finishing third on Sunday at Springdale Golf Club.
The Terriers posted a 303 in Sunday's final round to finish sixth in the 12-team field at plus-55. Princeton won the tournament with a score of plus-11. Georgetown (+41), Yale (+44), Dartmouth (+45) and Penn (+48) rounded out the top 5. BU finished ahead of Harvard, Seton Hall, Columbia, UAlbany, St. John's and FDU.
Chen posted a 1-over 72 and secured a third-place finish at plus-2 (72-71-72--215).
Sophomore Amy Han recorded BU's second-best score of the day with a 4-over 75 to move up 16 spots and finish tied for 33rd at plus-19 (81-76-75--232).
Junior Annika Manjunath and sophomore Madison Takai each shot a 78 on Sunday and Manjunath tied for 42nd at plus-22 (74-83-78--235) while Takai tied for 47th at plus-24 (84-75-78--237).
Seniors Meiqi Gao (78-79-83--240) and Victoria Takai (80-78-82--240) tied for 55th at plus-27.
The Terriers will close out their fall schedule next weekend at the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational on Oct. 5-6.
