Sjöberg Named PL Runner of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Junior Vera Sjöberg was named Patriot League Runner of the Week following her record-breaking performance in the mile at the Battle in Beantown, the league announced Tuesday.
Sjöberg ran a 4:33.92 time in the mile to win the race at the meet and break the BU school record. The Stockholm, Sweden native's time is best in the Patriot League and ninth-best in the country this season.
Freshman Iman Roka and senior Jamie Chamberlain both earned honorable mentions from the league, with Roka winning the 60m hurdles in 8.69 seconds and Chamberlain winning the long jump with a league-leading 5.80 meters.
The Terriers return to action Friday, Jan. 24 as they compete at the UMass Lowell Riverhawk Invitational at the TRACK at New Balance.
