BOSTON – The Boston University lightweight rowing program wrapped up its time at the 60th Head of the Charles Regatta with four crews hitting the water at DeWolfe Boathouse, the starting line for the course.
 
The Terriers began on Saturday (Oct. 18) in the Women's Championship Double. Senior Zoe Meurer (bow) teamed up with freshman Ava Kennedy (stroke) to complete the course in 18:49.273, good for sixth overall and the best collegiate time to capture the collegiate championship special medal.
 
BU sent two entries in the Lightweight Fours at Bows 4 and 5 on Sunday (Oct. 19). The top crew, coxed by Amna Rezvi and stroked by Cece Mason, finished fourth overall and second among collegians in 18:18.559. The second crew, coxed by Lylah Nag and stroked by Emilia Vukasinovic, were right behind them in 18:55.591 for fifth place and third among collegians.
 
The Lightweight Eight, coxed by Mira Saldanha and stroked by Caroline Burchette, wrapped up the day with a fifth-place result in a time of 16:48.934.
 
Earlier in the weekend, Terrier alumnae returned to DeWolfe Boathouse to compete in the event. Multiple athletes joined alumnae from the openweight rowing team and finished 27th in the Women's Alumnae Eights in 18:06.326. Alumna Sarah Maietta competed in the Women's Championship Singles and was 19th in 20:48.834.
