
Mikaul Concludes Fall at ITA Sectional Championships

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Sophomore Gabriella Mikaul of the Boston University women's tennis team concluded her fall season at the ITA East Sectional Championships on Friday.
Mikaul faced Alanis Hamilton of host North Carolina on Thursday. The sophomore battled to a 4-2 shortfall in the first set before dropping the first set, 6-2. She then lost the second set, 6-0, to be eliminated from the tournament.
She went on to play a consolation match on Friday against second-seeded No. 24 Kaitlyn Carnicella of South Carolina. Mikaul fought well through two sets but came up short, 6-3, 7-6 (4).
Mikaul and the Terriers will compete again in the spring as they return to team dual matches.
