March 21, 2025 | Men's Rowing
BOSTON – The 2025 spring season begins for the Boston University men's rowing program on Saturday, March 22 when it welcomes Brown to Charles River. The two programs will race with the Michalson Cup on the line in the Varsity 8.
BU, fresh off its second-consecutive 10th place finish at the IRA National Championship Regatta last spring, features seven total events on its spring schedule. The Terriers started the 2024-25 campaign with the 59th Head of the Charles last October. There, the Championship 8+ and 4+ crews posted top-15 results, respectively, while the top Club 8+ boat and the Club 4+ were top-five among collegiate crews.
Brown, who finished fifth in the Ten Eyck standings at the IRA Championship in 2024, will also compete in its first spring race. The Bears' Varsity 8 is coming off a 2024 Eastern Sprints and Ivy League Championship from a season ago.
Saturday's races will air on ESPN+ using the link above, capturing the races for both the men's rowing and BU lightweight rowing races as that crew takes on Boston College. Results can be found on HereNow.com using the link at the top of the article.
