CUMBERLAND, R.I. — The Boston University men's tennis team dropped a contest to the Holy Cross Crusaders at the Fore Court Racquet & Fitness Club on Saturday evening, 4-2.

The Terriers (0-9, 0-2 PL) secured the doubles point and line one at singles, but could not rattle off enough singles wins to overcome the Crusaders (5-7, 3-2 PL).

Senior Gabe Brown won in straight sets (7-6, 6-4) over his Holy Cross opponent, improving to 3-6 this season.

In the first doubles match, Brown and graduate student Jonah Dickson cruised to a 6-3 win. Freshman Jaydon Barki and junior Cole Knutsen teamed up to win 6-4 at line two of doubles play, securing the point for the Terriers.

After first singles, however, the Crusaders were able to take care of lines two, three, five and six to win the match.

BU will next travel to the Lehigh Valley to play Army West Point, Lafayette and Lehigh on April 4, 5, and 6, respectively.
