March 9, 2025 | Softball
ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Boston University softball team struck early on junior Brooke Deppiesse's solo homer and never looked back in a 10-2 run-rule victory over Queens Sunday morning at the Winthrop Eagle Classic.
Totaling a career-high four RBIs, sophomore Livia Christopher delivered the knockout blow in the bottom of the fifth with a walk-off two-out, two-RBI triple to help the Terriers improve to 11-9, as the Royals fell to 5-12. BU's 13 hits were one shy of the season high set back on Friday in a 13-1 victory against Presbyterian.
Senior Tyesha Williams led the Terriers batting 3-for-3 with three runs, while Deppiesse and sophomore Sophie Naivar collected two RBIs apiece. In the circle, junior Kasey Ricard (7-6) pitched 4.1 scoreless innings with three strikeouts for BU's fourth run-rule victory of the season.
