Margalit Earns PL Rookie of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Freshman Guy Margalit of the Boston University men's track & field team was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
Margalit set a new personal best outdoors in the triple jump with a 15.14m mark at the Holy Cross Invite on Saturday. That distance ranks 47th in the NCAA East Region and is second in the Patriot League this year. It is the best mark by a PL freshman this season and ranks seventh all-time at BU.
This is the first time Margalit has won an outdoor weekly award and the second time he's earned PL Rookie of the Week honors this year, after he secured an indoor award.
Next up for the Terriers is the Ken O'Brien Pre-Conference Meet at UMass on Saturday, April 26.
