Terriers Finish Up at ECAC/IC4A Championships

BOSTON — The Boston University track & field team finished off its weekend at the ECAC/IC4A Championships at the Track & Tennis Center on Sunday.
The meet was highlighted by the 4x800m women's relay squad, which broke the school and Track & Tennis Center records in the event with an 8:38.32 mark. The crew consisted of sophomore Leonni Griffin, sophomore Caroline Collins, freshman Samantha Lascelles and senior Olivia Dodds.
That time was the fastest in the NCAA this season and is No. 22 all-time indoors in NCAA Division I history. The squad was named performers of the meet, marking the first time in meet history that a relay team has won performer of the meet.

Top 10 Terriers
- Senior Peace Omonzane landed her triple jump at 13.24m, improving upon her indoor personal best and solidifying her position as second all-time at BU. The mark is also tied for 13th in the NCAA this season.
- Dodds, in addition to her 4x800m anchor leg, ran the 800m in 2:08.28, finishing second and moving into third all-time in BU history.
- Joining her on the 800m top 10 list was Lascelles, whose 2:09.47 time moved her into 10th all-time.
- Three more relay groups ended up on top 10 lists along with the women's 4x800m record.
- Senior Olivia Duca, senior Lily Borin, junior Adrienne Buettner-Cable and senior Samantha Seabury moved into fourth all-time in the distance medley relay with a 11:33.33 mark.
- Freshman Ryan Boldi, junior Daniel De Monte, junior Shamiso Sikaneta and sophomore Thomas Cowan ran a 7:35.18 4x800m time, moving into 7th all-time at BU.
- Freshmen Jack Ouellette, Brandon Piedade and Michael Repper-Molina and sophomore Dan Hruska teamed up for a 10:06.76 distance medley relay, good for ninth all-time.
- Senior Tucker Bowerfind championed the 5000m with a 14:24.24 time.
- Junior Karsen Vesty ran a 1:51.62 time in the 800m to finish second.
- Hruska finished as runner-up in the mile with a 4:07.44 mark.
- Sophomore Luke Riordan finished third in both the shot put (16.10m) and weight throw (18.85m).
- Buettner-Cable ran a 4:46.62 time in the mile and earned second place.
- Omonzane also won the long jump, reaching 5.99m for the crown.
- Senior Ellie Roan cleared the throws field with wins in the weight throw and shot put, with 20.42m and 14.32m throws, respectively.
- Seniors Kiana Lino and Uchenna Uba followed Roan in the shot put with throws of 13.64m and 13.28m, respectively.
- Uba also finished second in the weight throw with a 17.69m mark.
