Women’s Rowing Set for Weekend of Competition

BOSTON – The Boston University women's rowing program will compete at two events this weekend with the Lake Wheeler Invite in Raleigh, N.C., on April 25 and 26 and in a race against No. 4 Yale and No. 14 Harvard-Radcliffe on April 26 on the Charles River.
The Lake Wheeler Invite will be streamed on ACC Network Extra. Friday's morning session begins at 10:20 a.m. while the afternoon session starts at 3:30 p.m. Saturday's events will only feature a morning session, starting at 9:50 a.m. Live results and the schedule can be found at this link while streaming can be found here.
BU will race in the Third Varsity 8+ on the Charles River at 10:10 a.m. on Saturday. Live results can be found at this link.

LAST TIME OUT
- BU most recently raced against then-No. 18 Columbia and Northeastern.
- The Huskies claimed the Council Cup with a win in the Varsity 8+.
- BU rowed through windy and rainy conditions with the Varsity 4+ highlighting the day with a second-place finish behind Columbia.
SCOUTING THE FIELD
- BU will directly race against 15 different opponents over the weekend.
- Three opponents are ranked in the CRCA poll in No. 12 Virginia, No. 18 Duke and No. 24 UNC.
- Patriot League foe Georgetown will also be at the invite, with BU racing against them in all four morning races on Friday.
LAKE WHEELER EXPERIENCE
- BU last competed at the Lake Wheeler Invite in the 2024 season.
- The Terriers finished ahead of league foe Georgetown and local rival Boston College in each instance they faced off.

SCOUTING THE FIELD
- Yale is ranked No. 4 in the CRCA poll while Harvard-Radcliffe is ranked No. 14.
- Harvard most recently competed in the Ivy/Big 10 Invitational while Yale battled Princeton and took home the Eisenberg Cup.
LOOKING AHEAD
- BU will travel to Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass., for the Eastern Sprints on Sunday, May 4.
