BOSTON – The Boston University women's basketball program has added Rose Azmoudeh to the roster ahead of the 2025-26 season, head coach
Melissa Graves announced on Thursday.
Azmoudeh, a rising sophomore, will have three seasons of eligibility after spending one season at Austin Peay in 2024-25.
"We are thrilled to welcome Rose to our family," said Graves. "Rose is a high IQ guard with a strong ability to score the ball. She is a three-point specialist with deep range as well as a quick release and has a knack for getting in passing lanes on defense. We are excited to add such a talented player and even better person to our roster for next season."
In her lone campaign with the Governors, Azmoudeh made 12 appearances off the bench. She scored the first points in her collegiate career at Murray State on Dec. 7, dropping seven points in just 10 minutes on a pair of three-pointers.
Azmoudeh hails from Dix Hill, N.Y. on Long Island. A former league Player of the Year and All-Suffolk County selection at Half Hollow Hills High School East, she set program records with 579 points in a single season and 184 career three-pointers. She ranks third in school history with 1,321 points, which includes a 50-point performance against Newfield on Jan. 20, 2024 that serves as the single game school record. She also suited up for the Long Island Renegades AAU team.
BU is set for its fifth season under head coach
Melissa Graves. Under her tutelage, the Terriers have posted 73 wins as well as a 44-28 Patriot League record, garnering 16 All-Patriot League honorees in that span.
