Sally Starr have announced the 2025 schedule.
The 48th varsity season of BU field hockey will kick off on Friday, Aug. 29, when the Terriers host Providence at 4 p.m. following the University's annual matriculation ceremony.
The Terriers will face five teams that competed in last year's NCAA Tournament, beginning with a home contest against Vermont on Sept. 5 and a road tilt at Massachusetts two days later. BU will also host local rivals Boston College (Sept. 14) and Harvard (Oct. 6) in addition to defending Patriot League champion Lafayette (Oct. 24).
Six of BU's first seven games will take place at New Balance Field with additional September visits from Quinnipiac (Sept. 12), American (Sept. 19), Bryant (Sept. 21) and New Hampshire (Sept. 28). The American contest will be the team's Patriot League opener.
The Terriers will host Bucknell in league play on Oct. 11 and their three road trips in the conference will be at Holy Cross (Sept. 26) and Lehigh (Oct. 4) before wrapping up the regular season at Colgate on Nov. 1.
The remaining non-conference dates include a home game against Brown on Oct. 13 before visits to Maine (Oct. 18) and Northeastern (Oct. 26).
The Terriers will also host preseason scrimmages against Maine (Aug. 14) and Boston College (Aug. 21).
The four-team Patriot League Championship is scheduled for Nov. 6 & 8 and will take place at the top seed.
