
BU Athletics Matches GPA Record With 3.44 in Fall

BOSTON – The student-athletes of the Boston University Department of Athletics matched their best-ever grade-point average in the Fall 2025 semester, combining for a 3.44 to equal the mark set last spring. It marked the fifth straight semester that BU student-athletes had a GPA of 3.4 or higher.
Women's golf led all programs in the fall at 3.74, followed by men's tennis (3.66) and women's cross country (3.61). Men's ice hockey had the largest improvement from Fall 2024 of any program, raising its average by 0.31.
BU student-athletes have now combined for a GPA of 3.2 or higher in 17 straight semesters. Over 85 percent of the student-athlete body had a GPA of 3.0 or above for the semester. Additionally, 44 student-athletes finished with a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall.
