BOSTON – Returning to Pennsylvania for a mid-week contest for the second consecutive week, the Boston University women's basketball program plays its second game of the year against Lafayette on Wednesday (Jan. 21). Opening tip from the Kirby Sports Center is set for 11 a.m.

BU (5-12, 1-5 PL) looks to avenge its one-point loss to the Leopards (7-10, 3-3 PL) from Jan. 7. Last season, the Terriers went 3-6 in the second matchup against Patriot League foes.

Like the Terriers did so in the first meeting, Lafayette is hosting local schools for an education day. At home in 2025-26, the Leopards are 2-3.

Wednesday's game airs on ESPN+ as well as NBC Sports Philadelphia in the greater Philadelphia region. Live statistics are available through Lafayette's website while the Patriot League provides an international stream.

TERRIER TIDBITS

BU sustained a 56-55 loss to Loyola Maryland at home on Jan. 17.
The Terriers led by one point after the first three quarters but committed 20 turnovers and could not rattle off a shot in the final seconds.
Senior Anastasiia Semenova and junior Inés Monteagudo Pardo each scored 12 points to lead BU.
Junior Bella McLaughlin added 10 points off the bench.
Monteagudo and sophomore Hildur Gunnsteinsdóttir rank first and third, respectively, in the Patriot League in three-point percentage.
Between BU and Lafayette, Wednesday's matchup features five of the top 10 three-point percentage shooters in the Patriot League.
Despite losing five of its first six Patriot League contests, the Terriers have shot at least 46 percent from the field in five of those affairs.
Since Jan. 7, a span of four games, BU is shooting 45.5 percent from distance.

SCOUTING LAFAYETTE

Since the first meeting on Jan. 7, the Leopards are 1-2 in their last three games.
Lafayette bracketed a win over Bucknell on Jan. 14 in between losses to Navy and Holy Cross.
During Patriot League play, Lafayette ranks third in three-point percentage at 36.4 percent, slotting behind Lehigh and BU.
Teresa Kiewiet paces the Leopards and is second in the conference with 17.3 points per game.
Haylie Adamski is scoring 12.7 points per league contest.

SERIES HISTORY

Wednesday marks the 36th all-time meeting between BU and Lafayette.
The Terriers sport a 22-13 edge in the rivalry, though the Leopards have won three in a row.
On the road, BU is 9-8.
Lafayette captured the first meeting back on Boston on Jan. 7, 65-64.
The Leopards outscored the Terriers 20-11 in the third quarter as Kiewiet and Adamski combined for 43 points.
Adler led three Terriers in double figures with 14 points.
