Healey Tabbed Hockey East Player of the Week

AMESBURY, Mass. – Senior Sydney Healey of the Boston University women's ice hockey team was named the Boston Children's Hospital Co-Player of the Week, Hockey East announced Monday. She receives the nod alongside Maine's Mackenzie Podewell.
Healey scored twice in the 3-1 win against Merrimack on Saturday, with her first goal lighting the lamp and her second coming on the power play. On Friday, the senior was +2 in the 3-0 shutout at Merrimack and blocked three shots over the course of the weekend.
The Arthur, Ont., native leads BU in points with 24 and goals with 15. She is also tied for the lead in assists with nine. With her performance this past weekend, Healey has surpassed her 2024-25 season points total, setting a new career high in the category. She has also tied her career high in goals and set a new career high in assists.
Healey and the Terriers hit the ice on Thursday when they travel to Vermont for a 6 p.m. game.
