
Newman, Rampersad Earn Medals on Day Three of PL Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Senior Haley Newman became the first Terrier to earn a Patriot League medal in the same event four straight years and freshman Kiki Rampersad claimed her first individual PL medal on day three of this year's PL Championships aon Friday at Lejeune Hall.
Rampersad had the best PL 100-yard butterfly finish in BU history, finishing runner-up in a time of 53.16 to earn a silver medal.
In the 400 individual medley, Newman secured a third-place finish in 4:18.28 to go a perfect 4-for-4 in reaching the event's podium during her standout career. Junior Izzy Ramos posted her best-ever PL finish, taking eighth in a time of 4:28.44.
In the 100 backstroke, sophomore Abby Han took seventh in a time of 55.52 while freshman Danka Ndubuisi, who needed to win a walk-off to reach the B final, won that event in 55.11 to register a top-10 finish.
Another top-10 finish came from freshman Hadar who swam the 100 breastsroke in 1:03.49.
Freshman Molly Barber, Ndubuisi, Rampersad and freshman Lily Osborn placed sixth in the 200 freestyle relay, clocking a time of 1:32.66.
BU now stands in fourth place with 614 points with one day left in the meet. The Terriers are 66 points behind third-place Bucknell and 58 pionts ahead of fifth-place Loyola Maryland.
