SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Boston University women's tennis team (3-2, 1-0 PL) swept Colgate (0-3, 0-1 PL) in a 4-0 decision on Saturday evening.

BU was efficient in doubles, winning first at line three. Senior Emily Zhao and sophomore Madison Liu defeated their Colgate opponents, 6-3, to set the foundation for the doubles point. Shortly thereafter, freshman Vasilisa Borisova and junior Nancy Liu teamed to win 6-4 at line one, clinching the doubles point for the Terriers.

Zhao took her momentum right into singles when she won 6-0, 6-1 at line five to give BU a 2-0 lead in the match. Borisova then made it 3-0 in BU's favor with a 6-1, 6-3 win at the No. 4 spot. N. Liu sealed the deal for the Terriers with a 6-1, 6-1 win at the top of the lineup, clinching the victory for BU.

The Terriers continue their weekend on Sunday (Feb. 8) with a match against Syracuse. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
