Terriers Sit in Second After Round One of SHU Spring Break Invite

FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. - Freshman Wendy Li sits atop the leaderboard after the opening round of the SHU Spring Break Invite on Monday at Eagle Harbor Golf Club and the Boston University women's golf team will enter the final round in second place, three strokes behind Fairfield.

Li shot an even-par 72 on Monday to lead all golfers before the second round of the day was washed out due to rain. It has been turned into a 36-hole tournament with the final round taking place on Tuesday.

Junior Amy Han shot a 2-over 74 and is currently tied for fourth along with classmate Hibiki Adachi, who is competing as an individual.

Freshman Monica Wu made her collegiate debut on Monday, carding a 4-over 76, good for a tie for 13th.

Freshman Sophia Zhang posted an 81 while senior Annika Manjunath and junior Madison Takai each shot an 83.

BU posted a round-one score of 303 while Fairfield earned a score of 300. Manhattan sits in third at 305 with tournament host Sacred Heart a shot behind at 306.
