April 26, 2026 | Men's Rowing
FAIRLEE, Vt. – The No. 12 Boston University men's rowing program captured the Conlan Cup and Lusins Cup while battling to a photo finish for the Bill Cup to highlight a packed slate at the Lake Morey Invite from April 25-26 in Fairlee, Vt.
BU's Varsity 8 defeated No. 17 Columbia to retain the Lusins Cup for the second-consecutive year on Saturday (April 25) before dispatching No. 9 Syracuse to secure the Conlan Cup for the first time since 2019. On Sunday (April 26), BU's 1V battled No. 7 Dartmouth to the very end with the shortest margin between the two crews since 2010.
Saturday's morning conditions featured light wind that started as a cross-tailwind and shifted to a cross-headwind for the varsity races. Water stayed flat through the afternoon session as the headwinds varied in direction.
BU's Varsity 8, coxed by Emily Slawin and stroked by Alessandro Gardino, opened its tenure in the regatta with another strong piece, posting a time of 5:44.4 to defeat Columbia (5:47.9) and retain the Lusins Cup.
