May 28, 2026 | Women's Rowing
BOSTON – The Boston University women's rowing program heads to Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Ga., for its 11th overall and third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championships beginning Friday (May 29).
Streaming is available on NCAA.com for all three days of racing while live results will be available via Regatta Timing.
BU begins racing on Day 1 at 8:42 a.m. in the second heat of the Varsity 8+. The Second Varsity 8+ races in the third heat at 9:22 a.m. while the Varsity 4+ closes out the morning at 9:46 a.m. in heat two. The top three crews in each head advance to the A/B Semifinals while the rest move on to the C/D Semifinals. Due to inclement weather forecasted for Saturday, the semifinals will take place Friday afternoon.
The Terriers are one of 10 automatic qualifiers in the 22-school field. BU's Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ were seeded at No. 18 while the Second Varsity 8+ was seeded at No. 19.
BU successfully defended its Patriot League crown back on May 15, sweeping all four races to claim its third-straight league title. The Varsity 8+ was named the Boat of the Year for the third consecutive season and director of women's rowing Malcolm Doldron, associate head coach Lizzie Mitchell and assistant coach Ciara O'Sullivan were dubbed the Coaching Staff of the Year.
Following the championship, seven Terriers earned All-Patriot League distinction. Junior Ingrid Eshuis, sophomores Kate Barham and Laura Leong and freshman Marta Carfagni received First Team honors while junior Lydia Pelton and sophomores Raylynn Boston and Gigi Williams were named to the Second Team. Eshuis received an additional honor as she was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team.
