Emily Regan was named an assistant coach of head coach Thomas Bohrer's staff in August of 2021. The 2022-23 campaign was her second with the Terriers.
In the 2022-23 school year, her second on the Charles River, Regan helped guide the Terriers' Third Varsity 8 to a 10th-place overall finish at the IRA National Championship Regatta. During that spring, BU notched victories over Northeastern and Georgetown, and won the Petite Final at the Eastern Sprints. On a personal level, Regan was inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in December of 2022.
Regan joined BU after spending nearly ten years as part of the United States National Rowing Team where she won gold in the women's eight at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio and earned four World Rowing Championship titles.
In addition to her performance on the water, Regan aided US Rowing coaches during summer development camps to help prepare athletes to compete at the USRowing Summer National Championships. Regan recently served as seasonal assistant coach for the Ready Set Row Summer Development Team in Northfield, Mass. during the summer of 2021.

The Buffalo, NY native earned her BA in hospitality business from Michigan State in 2010 where she led the Spartans to three Big Ten Championships in the varsity eight and earned CRCA All-American honors in 2009 and 2010.
