Tim Lipsky joins the Boston University men[apos]s tennis program as the head coach for the 2007-08 season.
Lipsky has spent the last 12 years working in the business sector as a business strategy consultant and has run the strategy side of a small ad agency for the last five years.
He has competed in New England Men[apos]s Open Division tournaments as an amateur and achieved rankings as high as No. 5 in singles and No. 2 in doubles in New England. Lipsky is a former tennis pro at Spring Valley Country Club and a former teaching pro at Boston Sports Club in Newton, Mass.
He played college tennis for Massachusetts-Amherst in the No. 1 position for both singles and doubles and served as team captain. Lipsky graduated from UMass with a finance degree in 1995 and earned his M.B.A from Harvard Business School in 1999.
