Former Saint Joseph's University standout Jenna Loschiavo enters her third season with the Boston University women's basketball coaching staff and her second as an assistant coach. Previously, Loschiavo served in the role of director of basketball operations.
"We are thrilled to have Jenna Loschiavo join our family here at BU," said Greenberg. "She has a genuine love for the game of basketball and she will certainly bring a high-level of energy, focus and integrity to our program. We are excited for her arrival."
Loschiavo, a native of Plymouth Meeting, Pa., wrapped up a successful four-year career as a Hawk in 2009, graduating as one of the program's premier 3-point shooters. She ranks third all-time for 3-point field goals (214) and attempts (583) and is sixth in 3-point field goal percentage (.367). A constant in the Hawks' lineup, she appeared in 123 career games, one shy of tying the program record. Loschiavo helped guide SJU to postseason WNIT appearances in 2006 and 2008, as well as impressive wins over ranked foes, Villanova and George Washington.
In her new role as assistant coach, Loschiavo's will assist in player development, recruiting and the day-to-day operations of the program.
Since graduation, Loschiavo has remained involved in basketball. She has served as the head coach for the Fencor AAU nine-year old team and has been the assistant coach for the varsity squad at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. Additionally, she has worked in the private sector at Health Advocate as a benefits specialist.
Loschiavo earned a bachelor's degree from Saint Joseph's University's Haub School of Business with a concentration in marketing in 2009.
