Barnosky came to Boston in May, 2018 after spending the previous five seasons as an assistant coach at Tufts, where she aided the Jumbos to four consecutive trips to the NCAA Final Four and two NESCAC titles.
Barnosky aided BU to its first Patriot League Tournament championship game appearance during the 2020-21 season, as the Terriers went 12-3 overall and 10-2 in conference games. Working primarily with the post players, Barnosky aided Maren Durant to earn All-Patriot League Third Team honors after leading the league in shooting percentage (.667) and rank sixth in rebounding (7.7).
In her second season, Barnosky helped BU to a 12-6 record in league play to go with an overall 18-12 mark. Durant was named to the Patriot League All-Defensive Team and the All-Rookie Team after averaging 7.4 rebounds and 7.0 points per game in conference play, and led the Terriers with a 54.4 shooting percentage.
During her first season with the Terriers, Barnosky aided Nia Irving to be named to the All-Patriot League Third Team, while Riley Childs earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team. Furthermore, Irving ranked fifth in the league in rebounding and Childs was the second-leading freshman rebounder in the Patriot League. BU posted a six-game turnaround in Patriot League games and matched its best conference record since joining the league with an 11-7 mark.
During her tenure on the sidelines at Tufts, the Jumbos posted a 144-18 record and recorded three straight undefeated seasons in NESCAC play. Specifically, Barnosky worked with the forwards at Tufts coaching three All-American players in Hayler Kanner, Michela North and Melissa Baptista.
Barnosky transitioned into coaching after a stellar career as a student-athlete at Tufts. A three-year captain, Barnosky was a two-time ALL-NESCAC selection and helped the Jumbos advance to four NCAA Tournament appearances.
The Huntington Station, New York native graduated from Tufts in 2012 with a degree in child development before obtaining her master's degree in applied child development in 2014.
Off the court, Barnosky served as the Tufts SAAC president and was a four-year F.I.T. Peer Leader. She received the W. Murray Kenney award for positive attitude and persistence during her time as a Jumbo.
