After winning both of her singles matches and helping the Boston University women’s tennis team rally to beat Harvard (4-3) for the first time since 2009, senior Iryna Kostirko has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
The Mississauga, Ontario, native and two-time All-Patriot League First Team honoree went 2-0 at the top singles slot, first posting a 7-6(4), 6-4 victory against Harvard’s Annika Ringblom. Her win helped BU snap an eight-match losing streak to Harvard.
She wrapped up the weekend with a dominating 6-1, 6-4 victory against Navy’s three-time All-PL member Amanda Keller.
