After breaking the school record in the 1000 free, junior Tommy Hagerty of the men’s swimming & diving team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Hagerty clocked in at 9:21.90, shaving nearly three seconds off the previous school record time set in 2010. He also finished second in the 500 free (4:35.51) to help the Terriers defeat Boston College, 148.5-142.5, on Saturday at the Competition Pool.
With the win, BU finished its regular-season campaign with an 8-1 record and a 4-0 mark in home dual meets.
