Terriers Open Spring Season On Winning Note

The Terrier women's tennis team opened its spring season on a winning note with a 5-2 win over James Madison University on Monday (March 5th).
Junior Christina Causway (Wilson, NC), freshman Lindsey Dynof (Colts Neck, NJ), and sophomore Alana Marcu (Leonia, NJ) each defeated the Dukes in both singles and doubles play.
In singles play, B.U. won four out of six matches. Causway posted a 7-5, 6-0 win at number one singles. Dynof won in straight sets-- 7-5, 6-3 at number three singles, while Marcu won 6-3, 7-5 at number five singles. Freshman Hannah Bartell (Rancho Santa Fe, CA) finished off the Terriers' four wins in singles competition with a 6-0, 7-5 win at number six.
In doubles action, B.U. won all three doubles matches to come away with the one match point. The duo of Causway and senior co-captain Carrie Rose (Bloomfield Hills, MI) led off with an 8-6 win at number one doubles. Dynof and freshman Elena deMendoza (Madrid, Spain) took the win at number with a score of 8-3. Marcu and senior co-captain Hsiao Ning Ham (Jersey City, NJ) guaranteed the point with the third straight doubles win, 8-6.
This marks the fourth straight win for the Terriers. B.U., which is now 4-1, will shooting for its fifth straight win on Thursday at Florida International.
