Women Dominate Brown In 6-1 Tennis Win

The Terrier women's tennis team ended its three-match losing streak with an impressive 6-1 win over host Brown on Tuesday afternoon (March 20th). The victory improved B.U.'s second semester record to 5-4.
The Terriers won five of six singles matches, all coming in straight sets. In addition, they won all three doubles matches to come away with the match point.
Junior Christina Causway (Wilson, NC) and senior Carrie Rose (Bloomfield Hills, MC) won at numbers one and two singles, respectively, by identical, 6-4, 6-1 wins.
A pair of freshmen--Lindsey Dynof (Colts Neck, NJ) and Elena deMendoza (Madrid, Spain) won at numbers three and four, respectively. Dynof won, 7-6, in a tiebreaker and 6-3, while deMendoza won, 6-3, 6-4.
Sophomore Alana Marcu (Leonia, NJ) won in a pro set, 8-0, to notch her victory at number five singles.
Freshman Hannah Bartell (Rancho Santa Fe, CA) lost, 8-4, in a pro set at number six singles.
Causway and Rose won at number one doubles, 8-6, Dynof and deMendoza won at number two, 8-4, and Marcu and Hsiao Ning Ham (Jersey City, NJ) won at number three, 8-3.
