Terriers Kick Off Fall Season With Shutout of UNH

The Boston University women's tennis team began their 2001 Fall schedule with a 7-0 home shutout of the University of New Hampshire on Tuesday (September 18).
Senior captain Christina Causway (Wilson, NC) led the Terriers at first singles, defeating the Wildcats' Linsey Johnson in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2.
Teammates Lindsey Dynof (Colts Neck, NJ), Elena deMendoza (Madrid, Spain), Silvia Guglielmi (Italy), Alana Marcu (Leonia, NJ), and Hannah Bartell (Rancho Santa Fe, CA) also earned victories en route to the sweep.
In doubles, the combinations of Causway and Dynof, deMendoza and Gugliemia, and Marcu and Bartell performed well, winning all three matches.
The Terriers, now 1-0 on the season, will compete next at the Harvard Invitational on September 28.
