Swimming and Diving Sweeps Maine

The Boston University swimming and diving program swept the University of Maine on Saturday afternoon in Orono, Maine. The men's program earned its first win of the season with a 153-126 victory, while the women's team claimed a 171-112 victory. Marina Morie won two individual events and swam the third leg in the winning 400 Freestyle relay team. On the men's side, Griffin Moodie won the 100 Fly in 51.97, nearly two seconds quicker than his closest competitior.

Morie's first win came in the 200 Free, touching the wall in one minute, 56.80 seconds. She then followed up with her second individual win in 500 Free (5:11.00). Brigette O'Shaughnessy, Emily Munday, Morie and Eve Kinsella combined to win the 400 Free relay in 3:34.13.

Michael Bear won the 1,000 Free in 10:20.79. Arik Seiler picked up another win for the Terriers in the 200 IM, finishing in 1:58.27. Seiler also claimed top honors in the 100 Free in 47.67. In the 100 Back, Seiler won his third individual event of the day, clocking in at 54.77.
