February 24, 2026 | Women's Swimming & Diving
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Five members of the Boston University women's swimming & diving team were named to the 2025-26 All-Patriot League teams, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Senior Haley Newman and freshman Alayna Kennedy earned spots on the All-PL First Team while freshmen Kiki Rampersad, Molly Barber and Danka Ndubuisi all received second-team honors. Newman become the third women's swimmer in program history to be named to an All-PL team four times, joining Kalli Roebelen and Carly Soares.
The five standouts helped lead the Terriers to 917 points and a fourth-place showing at the Patriot League Championships, resulting in a 187-point increase from last year.
Newman won two bronzes in the 200-yard butterfly and the 400 individual medley to finish her stellar career with nine medals. She became the first Terrier to medal in the same event four straight years when she took third in the 400 IM.
Kennedy was named Women's Diver of the Meet after sweeping the two events, claiming 1-meter gold on Thursday before posting a thrilling win on the 3-meter board on Saturday. She became the first BU freshman to sweep diving titles at a league meet since Melinda Matyas in 2010 when the Terriers were in the America East.
Barber took home three silver medals, finishing runner-up in both 50 and 100 freestyle while also joining classmates Rampersad, Ndubuisi and Hadar Miller on the podium in the 400 medley relay. Rampersad was a silver medalist in the 100 butterfly while Ndubuisi took bronze in the 200 backstroke. Over the course of the season, Barber, Ndubuisi and Rampersad combined for eight performances that qualified for the program's top-10 lists.
