
Kennedy Earns Gold in PL Debut as Freshmen Lead Terriers on Day Two

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Boston University women's swimming & diving team turned in an impressive second day at the Patriot League Championships on Thursday, reaching the podium three times - all from the freshman class - to jump up to third in the team standings at Lejeune Hall.
Freshman diver Alayna Kennedy won her Patriot League Championship debut, posting a 300.55 on the 1-meter to top the competition and give the Terriers their first gold medal of the meet.
Classmate Molly Barber claimed silver in the 50-yard freestyle and then returned to the podium with the 400 medley relay, joining fellow freshmen Kiki Rampersad, Hadar Miller and Danka Ndubuisi in a runner-up finish. The first-year quarter broke their own school record, posting a 3:39.42.
The Terriers moved up three spots in the standings and will enter Friday in third place, just 19 points behind Army West Point.
