HAMDEN, Conn. - The Boston University men's tennis team traveled over the weekend to take part in the sixth-annual Quinnipiac Invitational. The Terriers played several close matches and reached the semifinals in Flight D singles and Flight B doubles before falling to the eventual flight champion.

Other teams in the tournament included the host Quinnipiac, Bucknell, Fairfield, UConn, Bryant and Sacred Heart.

Freshman Regis Chang earned victories over Quinnipiac's Vinny Corvari (6-4, 6-3) and Bucknell's Clark Bogle (6-3, 6-1) but fell in the semifinals to Bucknell's Greg Maxsom, 7-6, 6-0.

Senior Miron Nissim and freshman Alessio Gallarotti earned quick wins over teams from Bryant and Sacred Heart before dropping a 8-5 semifinal match to UConn's Burns/Adams, 8-5 in Flight B doubles.

BU concludes its fall portion of the 2008-09 schedule on Saturday (Oct. 18) with a visit to Holy Cross. The dual match is set for 11 a.m.
