
Track and Field Teams Announce Indoor Schedules

2009-10 Indoor Track and Field Schedule
BOSTON - The men's and women's track and field programs have announced their 2009-10 indoor track schedules. Both teams are slated to participate in nine events through the indoor season, with many of the events taking place at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
Both teams kick off their seasons on Dec. 5 at the Jay Carisella Invitational, hosted by Northeastern University at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass. From there, the teams head across town to Harvard University on Dec. 12 for the Harvard Open.
From Dec. 19 to Jan. 2, BU will host three "mini-meets," before hosting a multi-team varsity meet on Thursday, Jan. 14 to kick off the 2010 schedule. The women will host the Terrier invitational on Friday, Jan. 29 with the men competing the day after. After another trip to Harvard for the Battle of Beantown on Feb. 6, the Terriers return home for the Valentine Invitational on Friday, Feb. 12 (women) and Saturday, Feb. 13 (men).
Championship season begins with the America East Championships over the weekend of Feb.19-20 at the TTC. The Following weekend, BU will host the New England Championships over the Feb. 26-27 weekend.
The teams are back in action in early March as the men host the IC4A Championships and the women travel to the Reggie Lewis Center for the ECAC Championships on March 6-7. This year's NCAA Indoor Championships will be held in Fayetteville, Ark., on March 12-13.
