
Terriers Eighth After Day One at America East Championship

BOSTON - After the first day of competition at the America East Championship on Friday at the BU Track and Tennis Center, the Boston University men's indoor track and field team sits in eighth place. Through five events, the Terriers notched three points.
Albany leads through five events with 67 points. New Hampshire (47 points), Binghamton (36), UMBC (14.5), Vermont (10), Maine (9.5) and Stony Brook (7) rank ahead of BU, while Hartford rounds out the field with one point.
The Terriers' only scoring came in the distance medley relay, with BU posting a mark of 10:04.86 to finish sixth and qualify for the ECAC Championship.
Senior Chadd Steinhauser was third in qualifying for the 500m dash with a mark of 1:04.67.
The conference championship concludes on Saturday (Feb. 21) at the Track and Tennis Center with events getting underway at 10 a.m.
